Recently, a protest against Trump was planned for Friday the 13th in the UK, and the primary attraction of it will now be a giant, comedic looking Trump baby blimp.
The activist group sought out permission to fly the “Trump Baby” above Parliament before they will actually go through with the protest, and permission was actually granted to them.
A protest led by Leo Murray for Friday the 13th when Trump visits the UK (weird number) will now be accompanied by this giant Trump Baby balloon.
The balloon is six meters high, a giant inflatable baby with, as the creator of it describes, “a malevolent, constipated expression on his face.”
In an article written by the creator of the protest, Leo Murray wonders how Theresa May could invite Trump to the UK and greet him with warmth. People completely fail to understand that there’s nothing progressive or good about Theresa May or any world leader really: the US and UK are militarily allied and powers that are actually in charge run things from behind the scenes of a figurehead such as Trump or Theresa, it seems. According to the creator of the protest’s article in Common Dreams:
“Theresa May practically fell over herself to invite the orange sex pest here, despite nearly two million people signing a petition asking her not to. And that was before he started snatching babies from their parents at the border and locking them in cages. Any ‘special relationship’ May tries to sign us up for with the Trump regime is obviously going to be an abusive one.”
Sure it’s good to protest Trump and I fully support it, but Leo Murray, you don’t think there’s anything non-totalitarian about the UK or Europe do you? You realize we’re living in a global oligarchy, right? The rest of the world is already more controlled than America, and America at least still has permission to be armed.
People are more interested in giant Trump blimps than anything that actually matters. If you look at how people respond to ideas right now, you’ll notice a few things. First, people who care about the future and don’t care alike seem tired and apathetic right now. Second, some people have been completely herded into a bitter, frenzied state by the media, on either the left or the right.
The people truly in power behind the scenes want a foolish man like Trump in office to make people conflate American culture with stupidity, to promote banning things that remain legal in America, to incite division between various groups of people, and particularly to confuse people who want to be awake but just can’t wake up enough.
Leo Murray continues:
“Ridiculing tyrants and despots is a proud British tradition, so we can think of this as the whistling ‘Hitler has only got one ball’ of our times. If this generation is going to have to fight fascism again, we may as well have a bit of a laugh while we are doing it.”
Ridiculing tyrants is a British tradition? Leo, you live in a monarchy. You’ve historically been a monarchy that enforces strict laws on other countries and people that have been conquered by force, and today so many things are illegal in the UK, there is nothing even remotely free of tyranny about your country. Why can’t you see America and the UK are run by the same people, and they want us all to be as non-free as possible?
We know the United Kingdom is and has been a major seat of Western power for centuries. At least for the last century, it has been firmly allied with the US in every operation. People seem to forget that the UK is a land of cultural repression and slavery, and so are other Commonwealth realms, because they don’t find it suspicious at all that this particular protest would be approved but others wouldn’t.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing free or great about the governments of other, non-Western countries either. Basically the entire world is controlled by people who shouldn’t be in power. No government is to be trusted, so taking a half-pro-freedom stance makes no sense.
Why were officials in the UK willing to allow a giant Trump Baby? Because there’s nothing that rebellious or effective about it, to stop anything.
The UK is firmly, militarily aligned with the US and NATO, and will militarily support the US in basically all their endeavors. Placing emphasis on protesting the figurehead of Donald Trump, and not the entire system that has been in place exactly how it is now for the past several presidents, is nothing but people falling for a strategy to incite division.
And Trump supporters, he is doing not a damn thing differently from how Obama or Bush did. Donald Trump does not do anything different in the way “he” chooses to command the direction of the United States military, and he’s not trying to save the world.
Trump is a bright, annoying neon sign that says “distraction.” Unfortunately for the sake of knowing what’s going on it is to some extent necessary to endure learning about the things he says, and the things people in power do to create pointless political theater.
People would be wise to quickly get off the surface level topics and get deeper into who makes the decisions, and where this world is headed.
